I discovered St. Jean’s Antipasto while searching online for something that reminded me of my coastal B.C. home. I moved to Ontario 25 years ago and I miss the fresh seafood and the things I used to make from it. I ordered several products to try with family over the Christmas holidays.
One thing I used to make years ago in B.C. was homemade canned antipasto with tons of chopped vegetables, tomato based sauce and Albacore tuna. Sound familiar?
I opened my first jar of St. Jean’s Antipasto and a fresh box of my favourite crackers and I was taken back to B.C. and the antipasto I made every year. It was even more delicious than I remember mine to be.
Within half an hour I’d almost eaten the entire jar. My visiting daughter noticed and asked to taste the last mouthful. She was also hooked and made sure I sent one of the last jars home with her when she left after Christmas.
So now I’m back on the website to order more jars of this St. Jean’s treat, many more jars! I think I’ll even order a few vegetarian jars for my vegetarian friends.
Fantastic fresh smoked pink salmon. Paired with a cracker and cream cheese for the ultimate appetizer. Or eat it all on its own. The hard part is not eating it all too fast.
